Senator Durbin offers an internship program for undergraduate students of all majors, and graduate and law students who are interested in experiencing the day-to-day operations of a Senator's office.
For the upcoming fall 2020 semester Senator Durbin’s office will not offer in-person internships in the Illinois or DC offices. However, three qualifying students will be offered a remote internship as Ed Greelegs Scholars. Undergraduate and graduate students of all majors may apply. Intern schedules are based on each student’s days and hours of availability.
Virtual interns will perform legislative research, constituent services, and complete general office support duties along with Senator Durbin’s Illinois and Washington, D.C., staff.
