It is my pleasure to present you with the Congressionally Directed Spending Request Form and Instructions for Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23).  Please note that paper forms are no longer accepted.

To get started, you must first create an account.  Once that step has been completed, you may proceed to the Congressional Directed Spending Request Form. Please read through ALL instructions before beginning the form.

All forms must be completed and submitted on or before Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 11:59 PM.

Do not wait until the last minute to begin this process so that any corrections that need to be made or any questions that need to be answered can be.

While funding projects through Congressionally Directed Spending is an option, you are strongly encouraged to consider pursuing and applying for federal grants.   Information on federal grants that are administered through the various government agencies is available through the Grants.gov Program Management Office.  The website address for federal grant programs is https://www.grants.gov.

When searching thru the Grants.gov website, take your time and try to use terms that apply to your organization, region and/or requirements.  If you find a grant that you wish to apply for, you may contact my Grants Coordinator, Jeff Dickson, at jeffrey_dickson@schumer.senate.gov.  In the subject line of your email, please include the name of the grant program and the federal agency that you are interested in.  Jeff will be able to assist you and answer any grants related questions you may have.

If you have any questions about your project request or submitting a Congressionally Directed Spending Request, please do not hesitate to contact my staff at appropriations@schumer.senate.gov.  Please keep the April 10th deadline in mind.

Thank you for your interest and for working to improve the quality of programs and institutions in New York. Together we can keep New York at the forefront of cultural, educational and economic excellence.
