Senior Legislative Assistant/Counsel Position Description: The Office of U.S. Senator Gary C. Peters seeks a highly motivated, senior-level Legislative Counsel or Legislative Assistant in the Washington, D.C. office to spearhead the Senator’s work on surface transportation, tech, telecom, space and science. The right candidate will be well positioned to spearhead the Senator’s work on policies affecting the auto industry as well as a thought leader on transformational technologies and research. Primary duties include staffing an effective and highly motivated Subcommittee Chairman, leading the development and advancement of legislation and oversight, dedicated service to constituents and stakeholders and the management of relevant mail and correspondence with support from Legislative Correspondents.
