The Returning Worker Fellowship is an opportunity for those who have been out of the workforce for an extended period of time to gain experience working in a United States Senate office while sharpening their skills and revitalizing their resumes.  Fellows are tasked with assisting in the management of constituent correspondence, helping to organize incoming constituent casework, conducting research in prevalent areas, and assisting with other administrative needs of the office, including answering phones.

Fellowships are 12 weeks long and are offered throughout the year.  These positions are currently available in Senator Collins’ Constituent Service Centers.

To apply for a fellowship with one of our Maine constituent service centers, please fill out the online application and be prepared to submit a cover letter and resume.

In order for applications to be considered, applicants must submit complete questionnaires and both checklist documents. If you submitted your application, please allow 24 hours for the system to mark it as complete on your end.

For quickest turnaround, please email all questions to administration@collins.senate.gov.
