Thank you for your interest in an internship in the Abingdon (Southwest Regional) office of Senator Kaine. The office provides outreach to the 21 counties and cities that comprise the New River, Mount Rogers, Cumberland Plateau and LENOWISCO planning districts. In addition, the office provides constituent services assistance to citizens throughout the Commonwealth.
Preference will be given to Virginia residents and in-state college students. Paid internships or college credit are available for prospective candidates. Interested candidates should fill out an application by following the online instructions and submitting the other required materials.
Please note, our office is unable to offer an internship to everyone who applies. During summer session, priority is given to rising college seniors. The fall, winter, and spring sessions are open to students at any point in their undergraduate college careers.
