Students interning with one of my offices will have the opportunity to learn about the legislative process and get a first-hand look at how the U.S. Senate works. Full-time and part-time internships are available in my Washington, D.C. and Virginia offices year round.
Due to the large number of applications we receive, my office is unable to offer an internship to every applicant. Interested candidates should fill out an application by following the instructions. The summer session is reserved for rising seniors in college due to the large number of applications we receive during that time of the year. The fall/winter and spring sessions are open to students at any point in their college careers. Preference will be given to Virginia residents and in-state college students.
Washington, D.C. Office:
Interns in my Washington, D.C. office will get an up close look at the legislative process and see how the U.S. Senate functions. D.C. interns research legislative issues, give tours of the Capitol, attend committee hearings and provide administrative support to my staff. Please note, the Summer Session Deadline is the second Friday of April. The Fall and Spring Sessions do not have specific deadlines.
