Fiscal Year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act Requests
Senator Gillibrand is accepting requests for information about Fiscal Year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act submission that benefit New York, our servicemembers and their families, and the national security of the United States. Specific suggestions and details regarding policy and budgetary requests for the FY26 NDAA may be submitted though this website.

National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) authorizes appropriations for the Department of Defense and the National Nuclear Security Administration, but is not an appropriations bill. The NDAA also establishes defense policies, restrictions, and organizational changes to the Department of Defense.
The Senate and House Committees on Armed Services (SASC and HASC) are the committees of jurisdiction for the NDAA. More information on SASC and its subcommittees can be found at https://www.armed-services.senate.gov/subcommittees.
Senator Gillibrand is a member of the Emerging Threats & Capabilities, Strategic Forces, and Cybersecurity subcommittees. Submissions sent to our office may be related to any subcommittee of SASC.
Deadline
For Fiscal Year 2026 NDAA, forms must be submitted by 11:59 PM on March 21st, 2025. If you have not submitted a request in previous years, we recommend that you contact a member of Senator Gillibrand’s legislative staff well in advance of submitting your form.
