Our internship program is a rewarding experience for young adults who wish to become involved in today's legislative process.  An internship in Washington, D.C., offers students the opportunity to observe, and participate in, the day-to-day business of the U.S. Senate.

This is a very competitive process.  There are usually more qualified applicants than positions available.  Interns are responsible for their own housing, food, and transportation.  We offer academic credit to students who are eligible for it at their institution.  Interns may also be eligible for a stipend.

We typically host one fall, one spring, and two summer intern classes.  Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Fall internships run from late August to early December.

Spring internships run from mid-January to early May.

First-session summer internships run from late May to the July 4 holiday.

Second-session summer internships begin after July 4 and run to mid-August.

We appreciate your interest in an internship.  If you are selected to go further in the hiring process, you will be notified by e-mail.  If you have questions, please call our office at 202-224-4343.
