Thank you for your interest in an internship with Senator Bill Hagerty. Senator Hagerty is pleased to offer Tennesseans this invaluable educational opportunity to take part in the legislative branch of government from inside the state.
Qualified candidates should be detail-oriented, have a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a positive attitude. College students studying in any disciplinary field are encouraged to apply. This in-state opportunity is an exciting chance to see how the relationships between state, local, and federal government strengthen Tennessee together. Candidates should therefore have an interest in meeting constituents, elected officials at the state and local levels, and business leaders. Expect to work hard in the regional office, but also shadow the Senator's staff throughout the region. It is also our hope that you will learn more about the state's culture, economy, and opportunities.
Interns may arrange to receive academic credit for their work through their school. Intern applicants must be 18 years old and have completed one year of college-level coursework.
