Welcome, we are currently taking Intern applications for the Summer semester. If you are not looking for the Summer semester, please review the information below. Thank you for your interest in Senator Ted Cruz’s Internship Program. Internships offer Texas students a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the inner workings of Congress.
Intern activities include legislative research, administrative duties, communications department support, regional outreach and constituent relations, including assisting with phones and mail. Interns may also attend committee hearings, conduct Capitol tours, and attend Senate intern lecture series. At the end of their session, interns will have had the opportunity to see how a Senate office works and better understand the United States government.
Priority is given to students either from Texas or students enrolled in a Texas school who have completed at least their sophomore year of college. If you are eligible and would like to apply to the internship program, please complete this online application and submit all supporting materials by the due dates below.
Spring Application Window:
1st Friday in August - 1st Friday in November
Deadline: November 1, 2024
Summer Application Window:
1st Friday in December - 1st Friday in March
Deadline: March 7, 2025
Fall Application Window:
1st Friday in April - 1st Friday in July
Deadline: July 4, 2025
