Majority Staff of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs seeks a press assistant for a fast-paced communications team. The position’s primary responsibilities include but are not limited to compiling and distributing news clips; managing press contact lists; monitoring for breaking news; drafting press releases and media advisories; drafting social media and newsletters; and assisting the press team with the day-to-day operations. Candidates should be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple assignments on tight deadlines. Ideal candidates will have strong writing and research skills.
