We have the honor and privilege to recommend some of Michigan's most talented and skilled individuals for selection to the four Service Academies that require nominations. Best wishes to you as you pursue your goal of attending one of the U.S. Service Academies and helping keep our country safe and secure.
Eligibility
Each applicant for a nomination from my office must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be at least 17 years old, but not have passed the 23rd birthday. (25 for the Merchant Marine Academy).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, and a permanent resident of Michigan.
- Must be unmarried, not pregnant, and have no legal obligation to support children or other dependents.
To begin the nomination process, you should first apply directly to the service academy you wish to attend (i.e. the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy).

You should then apply for all of the nominations for which you may be eligible including, but not limited to, your elected representatives in Congress and the Vice President of the United States.
