Welcome to U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley’s online Senate Internship Application! This site is used by United States Senate offices to manage requests and applications. You will be required to create an account and fill out a form to submit your request. We are considering applications for In-person and hybrid internships in DC, and remote internships outside of the DC area.

HOW TO APPLY
Applications are due no later than midnight Pacific time on the day of the deadline. Please see the application deadlines below. Interviews and offers can be made on an ongoing basis. Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible so that our office can consider your application in a timely manner. Some intern cohorts may fill up before the deadline.
Spring: January 15th
Summer: March 17th
Fall: August 18th
Winter: December 1st
To complete your application, please complete the questionnaire and submit these items by the appropriate deadline:
A current resume;
A cover letter;
Note: You may save your application as you complete different sections, instead of submitting all materials at once. However, you must complete all of the checklist items for your application to be complete.
