First Time Here?

Thank you for your interest in our press internship program.

Interning is a wonderful opportunity to experience the federal government’s legislative branch first-hand while serving Oklahoma. Students interested in the Washington D.C. internship program must submit an online application to the Washington D.C. office. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Internships are paid. However, most schools offer college credit for internships. Check with your school to determine what specific requirements must be met. Interns are responsible for arranging their own housing. Housing information from local universities will be provided once applicants are notified of their acceptance.

Washington D.C. Press Internship:

The press intern will have the unique opportunity to learn about the legislative process from a press standpoint while furthering their writing and graphic design skills. He or she will work with multiple Adobe programs, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro. He or she should be proficient in AP style and be a strong writer. The press intern will work closely with the press team to assist in day-to-day activities.
