Our Law Clerk program is a rewarding experience for students who wish to gain insight into the function of a US Senate Committee and gain experience in researching, writing and Committee and Senate processes and procedure.
This is a very competitive process. There are usually more qualified applicants than positions available. Clerks are responsible for their own housing, food, and transportation. We offer academic credit to students who are eligible for it at their institution. Law Clerks who do not receive academic credit may be eligible for a stipend.
We typically host one fall, one spring, and one summer clerk class. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The following schedule is a rough guide.
- Fall clerkships run from late August or early September to early December.
- Spring clerkships run from mid-January to late April or early May.
- Summer clerkships run from mid-May to Mid August.
We appreciate your interest in a clerkship. If you are selected to go further in the hiring process, you will be notified by e-mail.
