Deputy Scheduler/Assistant to the Chief of Staff Position Description: U.S. Senator Gary C. Peters seeks a Deputy Scheduler/Assistant to the Chief of Staff to join his fast paced, collaborative team based in Washington, DC. This position works closely with the Scheduler on a broad range of scheduling and executive operations including executing an active and complex daily schedule for the Senator; problem solving through the day’s tasks and acting issues as they arise; coordinating meetings and follow-up; assisting with special events and projects; managing the Senator’s written correspondence; and providing support to the Chief of Staff. Applicants should be exceptionally organized, detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong written and oral communication skills. Additionally, a pro-active approach to problem solving and communication with the Senator, Senior Staff, and other high-level principals will be paramount. Strong candidates should previous Hill/scheduling experience and Michigan ties are strongly preferred. Applicant must have an American-made vehicle and be able to drive the Senator.
