The office will offer a stipend to individuals who have a financial need. Examples of factors the office will consider relevant in determining financial need include, but are not necessarily limited to, 1) Pell Grant eligibility, 2) Being claimed as a dependent for the purpose of the Earned Income Tax Credit, 3) Proximity to the federal poverty line, 4) Anticipated student loan debt, 5) Access, or lack thereof, to other sources of income subsidization.
