Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) seeks a Constituent Advocate for his Pittsburgh, PA office. Responsibilities include communicating with constituents statewide, serving as a liaison between Pennsylvanians and federal agencies, managing a casework portfolio as assigned by Constituent Services Director, improving knowledge of and seeking training in assigned issue areas, and periodically staffing events.
Excellent communication and organization skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and the ability to navigate difficult conversations while treating all constituents with dignity and respect are essential. Pennsylvania ties and foreign language skills are plusses. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work independently while maintaining their role as part of a team and asking for guidance when needed. Candidates should have the ability to engage with a diverse array of stakeholders and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position reports to the Constituent Services Director. The annual salary for this role is $56,000.
