Programmatic Appropriations
Senator Gillibrand is accepting requests for programmatic funding that benefits New York and our nation. Specific suggestions and details regarding priorities for the Fiscal Year 2025 appropriations process may be submitted for consideration through this website.
The vast majority of federal discretionary spending is programmatic funding. Programmatic funding includes most federal agency programs, including programs that award money to New York entities (e.g. state and local government, non-profit organizations, and for-profit businesses) through funding formulas, competitive grant applications, or loans.
Programmatic Funding Requests
These applications request detailed information that is best provided by organizations, agencies, nonprofits, and firms that are local recipients, administrators, or stakeholders of federal programmatic funding. If you would like to make more general comments about federal programs, please do so using Senator Gillibrand’s contact page. The president’s budget requests are posted on this website: https://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/ as soon as they are available, typically within the first few months of each calendar year. Please include the relevant amount requested in president's budget in your application if that information is available.
Deadline
For Fiscal Year 2025 appropriations, forms must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, April 5, 2024. If you have not submitted a request in previous years, we recommend that you contact a member of Senator Gillibrand’s legislative staff well in advance of submitting your form.
