We’re excited to offer a unique internship experience across our offices in Washington, D.C., and in Nevada (Las Vegas and Reno). Each location provides distinct opportunities and insights into the workings of a congressional office, allowing you to choose the best fit for your interests and career goals.

Washington, D.C. Office

Interns in the D.C. office will be deeply immersed in the legislative process. Here, you'll have the chance to work alongside our legislative, administrative, and communications teams. Responsibilities may include:

  • Constituent Interaction: Answering calls from Nevadans, assisting with legislative correspondence, and responding to constituent inquiries.
  • Legislative Research: Conducting research on various legislative issues and attending committee hearings to gain firsthand experience of the Senate's operations.
  • Public Engagement: Giving tours of the Capitol and participating in various outreach activities.

For those interested in media and communications, our Press & Digital Internship offers a comprehensive, fourteen-week program focused on the political media landscape. You'll track news coverage, draft materials for the Senator, and contribute to our social media presence, gaining valuable experience and feedback from our communications team.

Nevada State Offices (Las Vegas and Reno)

In contrast, interns in our Nevada offices will focus primarily on constituent services, working directly with the community to address their needs. Responsibilities may include:

  • Administrative Support: Providing outreach support, answering inbound calls, and preparing certificates of commendation for local constituents.
  • Community Engagement: Shadowing regional representatives during congressional briefings and attending local events to better understand the issues affecting Nevadans.
  • Casework Assistance: Helping constituents navigate various federal programs and services, offering a practical application of your skills in a real-world setting.
